Roof tiles - take two. Here's Rich on top of the roof. These are the last few tiles left after many, may days of removal. Rich did a stellar job up there, with Cindy once again in the support role of the bag girl on the ground. With determination and a beer delivery from Ruthie, the roof tiles are finally gone. Rich has declared that he will NEVER remove another roof himself! |

And the new roof tiles are delivered! We found a comp roof with a diamond pattern that mimics the old diamond-shaped tiles. Can't wait to see it finished! |

Here is Mackenzie the painter once again
putting paint samples on the front of the house. Mac's other important
job is using the magnet to pick up all of the extra nails around the
house so they don't harm the fir floors we've uncovered and are trying
to save. Mac was painting the frame of the windows that were put in place at one pint after the old firehouse doors were removed. Chris actually removed this window as well as it's "partner" moments later. We will replace these old windows with large doors in the style of the old firehouse doors. Chris was kind enough to cut out Mac's samples and save them for us for final color selection. |

The skylight is framed in the ceiling of the old fire truck garage. This can be seen from the kitchen, dining room and family room areas, as well as from the landing. |
