To the left, above the sheet rocker's trash pile, you can see the stucco on the garage.. We have moved the old windows that had been put in the front of the house in the 50's (that filled the spaces where the firehouse doors had been) back into the garage. We've painted the window sashes and frames in our new colors - mahogany and "Mac's mustard", custom mixed by Mackenzie. The olive green house paint will go on in the next few weeks. Restoring old windows is VERY time-consuming, and we've done plenty of it here! |

We are going to stain the concrete floor inside the house where the fire trucks used to park. The former garage will be our kitchen, dining room, and family room areas We stained the floor of our new garage to test our "staining abilities" and it came out great! Special thanks to Jane Perry, who was part of Team Stain. Cindy & Mac will stain 900 SF of interior concrete the week of July 11th! Here are the "Park Terrace Dancers" taking a break on the new stained concrete floor! |

The sheetrock will be completely done early in the week of July 11th! The place looks great now that the walls are all defined. .Here's the great room. This picture was taken from the corner fireplace. Kitchen cabinets will soon be installed under the landing at left, & the kitchen island will go in front of these cabinets. A 5'x5' leaded glass skylight will be installed in this ceiling, and we'll have the firehouse doors in August to replace the plywood ones. This is the floor that Mac and Cindy will stain. |

Here's a scan of the rough design of the leaded glass skylight. The majority of the skylight will be a compilation of various types of clear glass, and it will have a slight bit of amber and maroon glass as an accent. Two transoms in the entry way will also be filled with leaded glass. One of these can be seen just abo |
