Here's a shot of one side of the see though fireplace in our master bedroom. The other side is in the master bath, where we will be able to view it from the clawfoot tub! Both sides will be faced with a slate basket weave tile. Next to the fireplace we will have an entertainment center. The door of this will be an old window that Cindy found at a salvage yard in Berkeley. Yet another project for Rich to implement! |

Here's a shot of the upstairs bedroom that is on the front of the house.. The structure of the bedroom on the back of the house is the same. All three bedrooms upstairs have really cool angles, so they will be fun to paint! |

Here is a rendering of what the doors that will fill the old "firehouse door holes" look like. These have now been ordered and are being manufactured in Oregon. We will have two sets of 10' wide by 8' tall French doors, 4 doors in each set. These will be stained dark and will have water glass in the panes to diffuse the view from the street. These will be a huge improvement to the plywood that blocks the holes now! We hope to have them installed sometime in August.. |

The salvaging continues. These old leaded glass cabinet doors will be used as a bathroom window above the clawfoot tub. Luckily Rich knows how to build window frames. We also found a great old mission-style door that will be put in the living room to give us access to the side yard. Amazing that we are paying for other people's junk! It's time to order the tin ceilings for the living room. Mac and Cindy will experiment with a product that will "rust" the tin. |
