This is the kitchen in the apartment.  We chose hex tile for the counter and 3"x6" tile for the backsplash to reflect the Craftsman period.  There is  a stripe  on the light fixture that matches the backsplash.  We used similar materials in Rich's house downtown with dark cabinets.  It is beautiful!

This is the apartment bathroom.  Mackenzie and Cindy sealed the slate floor and it came out really nice.  Rich cut the top off of the cabinet at right and installed 2 sinks and the fixtures.  He did this with cabinets in the master bathroom, the powder room and the girl's bathroom as well. Lots of work for Rich - they look great!

This is the view from the hallway in the apartment into the living area.  The windows in the apartment had originally been placed in the spot that the firehouse doors were installed in 1917.  We took these windows and replaced the bad metal windows in the apartment with them.  The light fixture is a little tough to see, but there were 2 of these in Rich's house downtown.  They are vintage fixtures that we had dipped in bronze.  They are a nice retro touch to the new apartment.
