Here is a shot of the utility room.  We love the pattern in the slate on the floor.  Mackenzie mixed the custom paint color on the cabinets.  It's tough to see them here, but the bin pulls on the drawers came off of a piece of furniture that was in Rich's house downtown.  They were created in the 1800's and had many layers of paint on them.  We soaked them in lye and the details emerged.  Mac picked out some complimentary ring pulls that look really nice with the bin pulls.  Right off of the utility room is a huge pantry.  It's fun to be able to see your food!

Here is Mac's surfer girl room!  We got the surfboard on eBay last year.  We cut the legs off of our old kitchen table to make her stainless steel-topped desk.

Here's another view of the surfer girl room.  The headboard is made of a $6 bamboo salvage piece that we found at Urban Ore in Berkeley.  The pictures on the left are vintage surfer pix, complete with some pix of "Woody's" and Annette Funicello with a surfboard!  Mac and Cindy strung them up on bamboo the night before the Brookfield Wine Tasting.

Katie Denham presented us with this lamp during our first party!  This is apparently the "boobie prize" that the book club passes around for housewarmings and "remodel completions".  Here it is sitting beside a small lamp that Rich saw at an antique sale on the side of the road.  It's really cute!
